SECD 504. Pediatric Feeding and Swallowing Disorders (3 credit hours). A consideration of the correlation between linguistic structures and sociological variables. Some of the topics covered are the role of standard language, the role and value of dialect and the social functions of language.

SPHY 103LB. PHYSICAL SCIENCE II LABORATORY (Credit, 1) (Lab., 2 hours). This laboratory class accompanies SPHY 103B lecture course. It therefore carries out experiments directly related to concepts and principles developed in the lecture course. Specific experiments include spreadsheet for data analysis, rocks and minerals, cooling rate of water, atoms and molecules, series circuits, and parallel circuits. Every laboratory session is to lead to a well-written, neat, and complete report. Co-requisite: SPHY 103B.

Prerequisite: Placement examination.

211. PRINCIPLES OF MICROBIOLOGY (Credit, 3 hours). Fundamental study of microorganisms and their relationship to food, sanitation, public health, and disease. The cultivation, microscopic examination, and biochemical activity of microorganisms and basic laboratory techniques applicable to microbiology, medical technology, medicine, and industry are also studied. Prerequisite: CHEM 128 and 129, SBIO 103B & Lab.
