330 ENGR Differential Equations for Engineers (Credit 3 Hours)

This course in differential equations begins with some fundamental definitions and terminology and then progresses to finding solutions to first order and higher order differential equations. Various methods such as separation of variables, variation of parameters, power series, and Laplace transforms are used to solve these equations. Students also learn how to construct differential equations from real world engineering problems and then find solutions to these equations.

dissertation is an original research study completed in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the Ph.D. degree. Credit is given only after the dissertation has been accepted by the student¿s dissertation committee. Guidelines for the dissertation have been developed by Southern University¿s graduate school and will be given to the student. (Prerequisite: Completion of All course work and Qualifying Examination)
