EMCJ 542. CORRECTIONAL ADMINISTRATION (3 credit hours). This course is designed to develop a foundation in correctional administration and management. It will provide insight on management issues faced by correctional institutions.
Course Emphasis:
This course will place emphasis on the major organizational and management issues in corrections. Students will be provided the opportunity to understand the corrections organizational structure, the role of management, legal and administrative issues.

390. CRIME AS AN INTERDISCIPLINARY
INTELLECTUAL PURSUIT (Credit, 3 hours).
This course pursues the function of crime within
national and international society, not only recently
but in a historical context. The interaction of
literary content and philosophy will be studied
against an historical background which considers
not only sociological and psychological paradigms,
but the input from increased efforts at professionalism
in the public and private sectors. A

367. CRIMINAL JUSTICE POLICY AND
ADMINISTRATION (Credit, 3 hours). Focus on
the policy process as it relates to crime legislation,
its implementation, and actual workings of the
political system. Special consideration is given the
student regarding a framework for analysis, influences
on criminal justice policy, how policy is
made, application of the policy cycle to the crime
issue, planning, and the tools requisite of a policy
analyst Prerequisites: SCJU 101B.

210. Cultural Geography (Credit, 3 hours). Area
studies of peoples of the world and their settlement
characteristics; and evaluation of origins,
dispersals, population, and settlement patterns.
