306. QUANTITATIVE ANALYSIS IN BUSINESS
(Credit, 3 hours). Operations research techniques
including linear programming, decision
analysis, project management, queuing theory,
simulation, and other techniques with emphasis
on applications in business. Prerequisite: ECON
275 or MATH 276, MGMT 300.

EDLD 580. FOSTERING COMMUNITY SUPPORT IN SCHOOL. (Credit, 3 hours). This course includes the study and design of school community relations programs based on the inter-communication between the school and the community. Emphasis will be placed on the role of administrators in the development of a comprehensive program of school community relations. General information will be acquired form discussions, readings, reports, and the internet. The course content will also include such issues as school crisis such as shooting and terrorism and the role and power of new technology in school community relations. In addition, issues associated with ¿No Child Left Behind¿ and reporting school achievement and test scores are explored to provide future school leaders with guidance in dealing with cutting edge school community relations issues.

430. SEMINAR IN COMMUNITY-BASED
CRIMINAL JUSTICE (Credit, 3 hours).
Seminar in community-based criminal justice
agencies, special training needed, necessary
interactions with the environment, educational
presentations of agencies, the impact on law
enforcement, court, corrections, drug abuse,
etc., and interfacing with neighborhood
groups, the church, educational institutions,
and others. Prerequisite: CRJU 310.

400. SEMINAR IN MARKETING (Credit, 3
hours). Contemporary topics of current
interest in marketing. Topics change from
semester to semester. Prerequisite: Senior
standing or consent of department chair.

PPOL 608. SOCIAL POLICY. (Credit, 3 hours). An investigation of policies in areas such as health, education, employment, and housing. Service provision and income transfer policies are analyzed from an organizational framework.

499. SENIOR SEMINAR¿ PRACTITIONER
PROFESSIONALISM (Credit, 3 hours). A senior
capstone course which centers on the student¿s marketing
skills, consolidation of ¿college knowledge¿
useful in prospecting and securing employment.
Students will learn how to prepare for an interview
for criminal justice and private sector positions using
social science theory, practice and methodology,
develop resumes¿, and how to utilize the computer
in locating and applying for jobs on the Internet as
well as through more traditional means at the local,
state, and national levels. Prerequisite: Senior standing
or permission of chair.

390. SIGNALS AND SYSTEMS (Credit, 3 hours).
Introduces students to signals and systems, system
representation and analysis, represent-ation of signals,
transform methods in systems, and state space methods
in systems analysis. Prerequisite: ENGR 340.

382. SOCIOLOGY OF DEVIANT BEHAVIOR
(Credit, 3 hours). An examination of the leading
sociological approaches to the study of deviation
and a general survey of the major types of
deviation in American society.

CMPS 526. SOFTWARE ENGINEERING: CONTROL (Credit, 3 hours).
Nontrivial software systems must be developed using formal methods of
control to ensure a correct and quality product. Topics covered include
quality assurance, software testing, independent validation and
verification, and configuration management. (Prerequisite: CMPS 525)
